Symbolism abounds in the stunning architecture of the Capitol building. Join our experienced guides on an exciting journey through the California State Capitol with a free tour! Discover California’s rich history and learn about state government. On our guided tours, you will gain a deeper understanding of the Capitol’s influential role in shaping the state’s past, present, and future.
Public tours run weekdays on the hour from 10am to 4pm and are limited to 35 individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors may sign up for tours at the Information Desk in the first floor rotunda.
School and group tours reservations will not be available until August 2026. Please call the Tour office at 916-324-0333 to book group tours for June and July 2026.
