Symbolism abounds in the stunning architecture of the Capitol building. Join our experienced guides on an exciting journey through the California State Capitol with a free tour! Discover California’s rich history and learn about state government. On our guided tours, you will gain a deeper understanding of the Capitol’s influential role in shaping the state’s past, present, and future.
Public tours run weekdays on the hour from 10am to 4pm and are limited to 35 individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors may sign up for tours at the Information Desk in the first floor rotunda.
School and group tour reservations are booked through Reserve California. Please visit Reserve California or call their office at (866) 240-4655 to make your group reservations at least 7 days in advance. If the website shows no available dates/times, please call their office to confirm.
