Discover trees and shrubs from around the globe in this 40 acre urban park. Hear fascinating stories about the memorials and monuments dedicated to California’s heroes. Stroll through the refreshing World Peace Rose Garden and admire the varieties of colors and scents. Reserve your spot now and embark on an unforgettable Capitol Park Tour. This is a FREE event put on by California State Parks and Recreation.

Notes:

  • Meet at 13th Street and Capitol Avenue (Hiram Johnson Parkway) inside the park directly behind the Capitol.
  • Tours will be cancelled during inclement weather.
  • Registration is not required, but recommended.
  • Walk-ins are accepted if we do not exceed our tour capacity of 35 people.
  • Groups of 20 or more must register in advance.
