Since their introduction to Sacramento in the mid-nineteenth century, millions of vibrant camellias have blossomed across the city. Today, they remain a beloved symbol of Sacramento’s beauty and heritage. Celebrate Sacramento’s designation as the “Camellia Capital of the World” this March 5th, 2026, in the State Capitol Rotunda from 10AM-12:30PM with complimentary corsages and boutonnieres harvested from Capitol Park’s own camellia garden.
