Pick up a physical copy of the Capitol Park Junior Ranger Adventure Guide at the State Capitol Museum or Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park Visitor’s Center.

Looking to grow your badge collection? Junior Ranger programs are offered at over 100 California State Parks. Play games and make new discoveries in some of the best places in California.

Did You Finish Your Adventure Guide?

Once your Capitol Park Junior Ranger Adventure Guide has been completed, check in with our staff at the State Capitol Museum or Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park to receive your rewards.
Alternatively, you may email photos of the completed pages to CapitolJuniorRangers@parks.ca.gov.

Summer Junior Ranger Programs

Children ages 7-12 can choose from 3 programs:

  • Using a Map and Compass
  • Redwoods and Oaks
  • Urban Park Ecosystems

At your first Junior Ranger program you will get a logbook and badge. For each program you will earn a stamp in your logbook. There are over 70 participating California State Parks with Junior Ranger programs. Bring your logbook to other California State Parks to get it stamped and earn some cool rewards!
