World Peace Rose Garden

The World Peace Rose Garden, created in 2003 by the nonprofit World Peace Rose Gardens, promotes harmony and cooperation. Sylvia Villalobos, one of the founders of the World Peace Rose Garden, described it as “a living reminder that peace begins within the hearts of each one of us – in our thoughts, in our words and in our actions. Daily each one of us has an opportunity to make our world a better place.”

The garden has over 650 different varieties of roses. Roses like “Lasting Peace” and “Pink Peace” are named to remind visitors of the garden’s intention. Some types of roses are dedicated to famous people, like César Chávez and John F. Kennedy. The garden also has a special section of roses dedicated to veterans.
