MESSAGE FOR TEMPORARY CLOSURE AT STATE CAPITOL

During these difficult times, protecting park staff, volunteers and partners from the exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19) is California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) top priority. State Parks has temporarily closed the California State Capitol Museum, including suspending all guided tours.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, State Parks continues to take additional safety measures to help with the state’s efforts to slow the spread of the pandemic disease.

All of State Parks’ efforts and safety measures can be found online at www.parks.ca.gov/FlattenTheCurve.

This site serves as a one-stop center to find park safety and closure information, and English/Spanish messages and graphics from the new social media awareness campaign “Flatten the COVID-19 Curve at Parks,” which encourages social/physical distancing.
