Holiday Bird Count at the California State Capitol

Holiday Bird Count

Enjoy the morning looking for birds in the California State Capitol Park. Everyone is welcome to discover the variety of resident birds and migratory birds in this 40-acre urban park. This free event is fun for the entire family. The Holiday Bird Count is hosted by the California State Capitol Museum. Check in at the activity table where you will be given a bird guide and a map. Your observations will be sent to e-Bird, an organization managed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Bring binoculars and a bird book, if you have them available. No bird watching experience is necessary.

Meet at 13th and Capitol in the park grounds between 9:30am-10:00am.
